By The sixth edition of the President Beach Volleyball Tournament officially kicked off in Kaduna on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, with a record-breaking 38 teams vying for top honors.
Teams from across Nigeria have converged to compete in senior and under-17 male and female categories, as the event plays a crucial role in shaping the country’s prospects for the continental championship later this year.
Following their arrival on February 16, participants attended a technical session on February 17 at Ahmadu Bello Stadium before heading to the Murtala Mohammed Square Multipurpose Sports Complex for the tournament’s opening matches.
Speaking at the vibrant opening ceremony, Mr. Martin Melandi, Technical Director of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), expressed excitement over the tournament’s growing participation, highlighting its importance in developing Nigerian volleyball talent.
