Dr. Peter Mbah, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing the Ease of Doing Business and supporting Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) as key drivers of economic growth.
Speaking at the 36th Enugu International Trade Fair over the weekend, Mbah, represented by Deputy Governor Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, emphasized his government’s dedication to creating a business-friendly environment, strengthening infrastructure, and ensuring access to credit facilities.
“As a government, we are committed to providing the desirable business framework. We are working tirelessly to attract sustainable investments, eliminate business challenges, and ensure a secured environment for enterprises to thrive,” Ossai stated.

President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Barr. Dele Kelvin Oye, represented by SECCIMA President Humphrey Ngonadi, lauded Governor Mbah’s efforts in strengthening Enugu’s business environment. However, he stressed the urgent need for Nigeria to resolve power sector challenges to enhance industrial productivity and competitiveness.
ECCIMA President, Sir Odeiga Jideonwo, also showcased the ongoing 3000sqm Exhibition Hall project, which is set to be completed in mid-2025 with state-of-the-art facilities. He praised Mbah’s administration for its continued focus on business development.
The Enugu International Trade Fair, themed “Developing Nigeria’s Industrial Sector/SMEs for Economic Advancement and Global Recognition,” continues to serve as a platform for innovation and investment.
