Muhammad Sanusi II, has approved key appointments within the Kano Emirate Council, naming Alhaji Mannir Sanusi as the new Galadiman Kano, one of the emirate’s most senior traditional titles.
The appointments followed a consultative meeting with key stakeholders, aimed at strengthening leadership within the emirate after the recent passing of Galadiman Kano Abbas Sanusi, the council’s longest-serving member.
Until his promotion, Alhaji Sanusi served as the District Head of Bichi, where he was widely respected for his commitment to community development and traditional governance. His elevation to Galadiman Kano places him among the highest-ranking members of the emirate council.
The emirate also announced additional appointments:
Turakin Kano was promoted to Wamban Kano
Adam Sanusi was named Tafidan Kano
Ahmad Abbas became the new Yariman Kano
Emir Sanusi II congratulated the new appointees and urged them to serve with integrity, wisdom, and a strong sense of duty to the people of Kano.
