Noah Geoffrey, who is aiming to break the Guinness World Record for painting the most faces in one hour. Geoffrey plans to paint 300 faces—well above the current record of 217.

The announcement was made by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, during a media briefing following the weekly executive council meeting presided over by Governor Alex Otti. Kanu said the challenge would take place on May 23, 2025, at Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic in Aba.

According to Kanu, the Guinness World Records has officially approved Geoffrey’s attempt, making it a globally recognized event. The commissioner also stated that the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy is partnering with Geoffrey to ensure the success of the record-breaking feat.

“The materials for the painting are being sourced locally from Aba,” Kanu said, adding that the initiative is part of the government’s efforts to spotlight homegrown talent and put Abia State on the creative world map.

Kanu emphasized that this support aligns with the broader vision of the Otti administration to encourage innovation and artistry among the youth. “It’s about promoting a local talent to showcase the creative potential of the residents at the global stage,” he noted.

As the state approaches the second anniversary of Governor Otti’s administration, Kanu mentioned that the milestone would be celebrated modestly—despite notable achievements—keeping the focus on meaningful development and citizen empowerment.
