Tinubu Has Surpassed My Expectations—Fasoranti

Pa Reuben Fasoranti, has commended President Bola Tinubu for exceeding his expectations in governance since assuming office. Fasoranti made the statement on Thursday during a courtesy visit by First Lady Senator Remi Tinubu to his home in Akure, Ondo State.

According to the First Lady’s media aide, Busola Kukoyi, the 98-year-old praised the President and First Lady for their devotion to national progress. “I am satisfied with what he is doing in Nigeria. Well done,” Fasoranti said, offering prayers for continued guidance and success.

The First Lady noted the visit was informal, conveying the President’s warm regards and acknowledging Fasoranti as a father figure. Her visit was part of a two-day trip to Ondo, during which she launched various health and empowerment programmes under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

Earlier, Senator Tinubu met with over 60 traditional rulers led by the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi. The monarchs praised the President’s performance, voiced support for his re-election, and hailed the First Lady’s advocacy for healthcare and social empowerment.

Later at The Dome, Akure, the First Lady distributed 10,000 scrubs and 10,000 pairs of crocs to midwives in the South-West zone. She also presented a N50 million grant to Mrs Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, wife of the Ondo State Governor, for 1,000 women petty traders under RHI’s Small Business Recapitalisation Programme.

In her speech, Senator Tinubu praised frontline health workers and urged continuous training, highlighting that nearly 60,000 health workers had already completed federal retraining out of a 120,000-target goal. The initiative, she said, was aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s healthcare workforce.
