Aliyu Zubairu has unveiled a 24-man squad for the upcoming Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Egypt, with first-choice goalkeeper Ifeanyi Harcourt, captain Daniel Bameyi, and top talents like Sulaiman Alabi Jojo and Kparobo Arierhi making the cut.
Germany-based Emmanuel Chukwu and Precious Benjamin, as well as Croatia-based Caleb Ochedikwu and Israel Ayuma, are among the foreign-based inclusions.
The team departs Nigeria on Sunday, with friendly matches lined up ahead of their group opener against Tunisia on May 1 in Cairo. Nigeria will face Morocco on May 4 and wrap up the group stage against Kenya on May 7.
All semi-finalists will qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile later this year.
