Oluwole Oke Dumps PDP After Six Terms in Office

Hon. Oluwole Oke, a senior member of the House of Representatives representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Oke, a six-term lawmaker, tendered his resignation in a letter dated April 16, 2025, addressed to the PDP Ward 7 Chairman in Obokun LGA and copied to the party’s state and national leadership.

“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with my political associates, family and friends,” he wrote.

Though Oke did not announce his next political affiliation, he urged his supporters to exit the PDP and await further guidance.

His resignation comes on the heels of an earlier suspension by the Osun State PDP over alleged anti-party activities.
