Senator Doguwa Joins PDP, Criticizes Tinubu’s Policies

Senator Masaud Doguwa, a prominent figure in Kano State’s All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced his defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a statement released on Friday, Doguwa cited dissatisfaction with President Bola Tinubu’s administration, accusing it of lacking focus and implementing policies that he considers detrimental to the populace.

Doguwa criticized the underutilization of experienced party members, noting that they are often excluded from key party forums and development processes within the APC.

He expressed his disappointment with what he termed as “anti-people policies” of the current administration, which he believes have exacerbated poverty in the nation.

“In politics, failing to engage experienced politicians with relevant assignments renders them politically redundant and forces them to seek opportunities elsewhere,” Doguwa stated.

“After a thorough evaluation, I have found that some of the policies are misaligned with our political ideology and are causing significant harm and concern to the common citizens.”

Doguwa concluded by expressing his disillusionment with the APC’s approach, saying, “The current trajectory of the APC offers no hope for relief to the ordinary citizens, regardless of their status.”
