The ongoing discussions between Organised Labour and President Bola Tinubu regarding the minimum wage have yet to reach a definitive conclusion.
The latest meeting, convened by President Tinubu, ended without any significant agreements.
Labour leaders, addressing the press after the meeting, indicated that their discussions with the Presidency will resume next week. They emphasized the need to consult with their respective organizations to communicate the details of their dialogue with the President.
Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, stated that the positions remain at N250,000 for Labour and N62,000 for the Federal Government.
The Nigerian workforce continues to anticipate a revised minimum wage from the government.
