The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has reiterated its dedication to supporting the Federal Government’s anti-corruption initiatives, highlighting its strong ethical track record as recognized by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
This commitment was emphasized during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), who commended the NCC for its role in fostering a digital culture in Nigeria.
Represented by the Director of Human Capital and Administration, Mr. Usman Malah, NCC shared that it had earned a score of 81.15 percent in the 2020 Ethics Compliance and Integrity Scorecard (ECIS), ranking among the top 10 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government. The Commission was also recognized as the most ethically compliant government regulatory agency under the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy for that year.
Malah assured the PCC delegation that NCC remains committed to collaborating with other government bodies to address corruption and promote positive societal values, especially among Nigerian youth. The NCC further expressed support for the PCC’s anti-corruption programs aimed at empowering the public, particularly students and young people, as key stakeholders in the nation’s anti-corruption efforts and economic development.”
