Nigeria Joins Other African Youth Leaders in Uganda for Afro-Arab Youth Conference

Youth leaders from Nigeria and other African countries have gathered in Uganda to take part in the Afro-Arab Youth Conference. The event, hosted by the Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC), aims to bring together youth leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from across Africa and the Arab world to discuss ideas for youth development, economic empowerment, and regional unity.

Leading the Nigerian delegation is Ambassador Mukhtar Akoshile, who also serves as the Coordinator for the AAYC’s West Africa Region. Before leaving Nigeria, Ambassador Akoshile highlighted that Nigeria’s participation in the conference shows the country’s dedication to working together with other nations to create policies that benefit young people across West Africa.

“Our goal is to help West Africa become a strong player in global youth development and to advocate for youth empowerment on the international stage,” Akoshile said.

During their time in Uganda, delegates will also attend the 39th NRM Victory Day Celebration, hosted by Uganda’s President, H.E. Y. K. Museveni, who is also the Patron of the AAYC. A meeting with President Museveni is being arranged as part of the visit.
