Former Super Eagles left-back, Taye Taiwo, has been honored by French club Olympique Marseille with an induction into their Hall of Fame.
Taiwo, who played for Marseille from 2005 to 2011, was a key player during his time at the club. The Nigerian defender made 271 appearances, scoring 25 goals and providing 23 assists. His contributions helped Marseille achieve notable success during his six-year stay.
Recognized as one of Nigeria’s best left-backs, Taiwo also had an impressive international career, earning 54 caps for the Super Eagles and scoring five goals between 2004 and 2011.
His induction into the club’s Hall of Fame is a testament to his impact and legacy at Marseille.
