The Cross River State Police Command has launched a manhunt for two suspected cultists, identified as Mr. Aziz and FBI, accused of killing their friend, Benji (surname withheld), in a dispute over proceeds from internet fraud.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Irene Ugbo, confirmed the incident on Thursday in Calabar, stating that the case was not officially reported but the police acted swiftly after learning about it. The suspects allegedly killed Benji on Sunday, February 2, in Essien Town community, dismembered his body, and dumped it in a sack before fleeing.
The police are now working to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice.
