Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by rehabilitating and expanding the state’s permanent orientation camp.
He made this promise while receiving NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, and his team during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Maiduguri.
The Borno NYSC Orientation Camp reopened in 2023 after a 12-year suspension due to the Boko Haram insurgency. Currently, it operates from a temporary site at Umar Mustapha Elkanemi Arabic School, but the government has pledged to restore and improve the permanent facility.
