NGO Pays WAEC Fees for 50 Needy Students in Abuja School

A non-governmental organization, Axis of Hope Initiative, has fulfilled its promise to support education by paying the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) fees for 50 underprivileged students at Government Secondary School, Phase 4, Kubwa, Abuja.

The gesture was part of the NGO’s commitment made during the International Day of the Girl Child celebration in October 2024. Barrister Maxwell Mgbudem, the founder of Axis of Hope Initiative, emphasized the importance of education, stating, “Education is the right of every child. It is our pleasure to contribute to their quest for knowledge and their future.”

He added, “Today, we are fulfilling our pledge to pay the WAEC fees of indigent students to enable them to write their final examinations and gain admission into higher institutions.”

The initiative aims to reduce the financial burden on families and ensure that every child has the opportunity to complete their education and pursue their dreams.
