Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Monday, donated three vehicles and ten motorcycles to the 22 Armoured Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Sobi, Ilorin, to enhance their operational efficiency. The governor also inaugurated the newly constructed Quarter Guard and the remodeled headquarters of the brigade, projects executed by the Nigerian Army in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s philosophy of maintaining infrastructure.
During the commissioning, Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized the importance of investing in military infrastructure, stating, “It’s not just about buying weapons; it’s also about providing the necessary facilities for the military to function effectively.” He also highlighted that federal funds allocated through the National Assembly are being utilized effectively, as evidenced by the completed projects.
The donation and inauguration underscore the state government’s commitment to supporting the military and improving security operations in Kwara State.
