Otunba Emmanuel Fayose, a governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, has declared that his quest to unseat Governor Biodun Oyebanji in next year’s election is a divine mission.
Speaking in Abuja on Monday, Fayose made it clear that he is determined to win with or without the backing of his elder brother, former Governor Ayodele Fayose, who has chosen to support Oyebanji instead.
He also called on the PDP leadership to unite behind him, vowing to rescue Ekiti from what he described as poor governance under the current administration.
As the 2026 election approaches, Fayose’s declaration sets the stage for a heated political contest in Ekiti State.
