Infrastructure remains a major issue in Nigeria, as the ongoing brain drain continues to affect key sectors like healthcare.
Recently, I visited a federal government hospital with my cousin, Farida, and her daughter, only to learn that the pediatrician who had been providing excellent care had left for a job in Saudi Arabia. Farida was heartbroken, as the doctor had been instrumental in her daughter’s health care. This is just one example of how the country’s lack of infrastructure is driving skilled professionals abroad.
