Former heavyweight boxer David Price has expressed confidence in Anthony Joshua’s ability to reclaim a world title, despite his knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September.
The 35-year-old British-Nigerian suffered a major setback in his quest to become a three-time world heavyweight champion after being stopped by Dubois, but Price believes Joshua still has what it takes to return to the top.
I think winning another version of a world title is definitely doable for him,” Price told Mirror Fighting. “Being undisputed or unified is probably a bit too much to ask, but you never know what the future holds.
Before his loss to Dubois, Joshua had been on an impressive four-fight winning streak, securing victories over Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin, and Francis Ngannou. His strong performances had reignited hopes of another title run.
While critics doubt Joshua’s ability to return to the pinnacle of heavyweight boxing, Price remains optimistic, insisting that the former champion still has the skills and experience to challenge for another belt.
With the heavyweight division constantly evolving, Joshua’s comeback story is far from over, and his next move could determine whether he still has a shot at world championship glory.
