Senate President and ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, on his 64th birthday.
In a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday, IPAC National Chairman Yusuf Mamman Dantalle described Anyim as a patriotic leader, a man of integrity, and an astute administrator who has dedicated his life to national service.
Dantalle praised Anyim’s contributions to democracy, highlighting his role in shaping Nigeria’s political landscape. He noted that the senator has been a key figure in intellectual discussions, including delivering keynote addresses at IPAC conferences.
The council commended Anyim’s leadership of the 4th Senate, during which he oversaw the passage of 65 bills and 72 resolutions. These included key legislations such as the establishment of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
IPAC also acknowledged his role in enacting laws that strengthened institutions like the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), the Police Service Commission, and the National Examination Council (NECO).
The council wished Anyim continued success and good health, recognizing his enduring influence on Nigeria’s governance and democratic development.
