Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has gifted a fully furnished three-bedroom bungalow to Madam Modupe Ajayi Alufoge, an aged widow, in a show of compassion and community support.
Madam Alufoge, a roadside petty trader in Igbara-Odo, Ekiti South-West, lost her home to a heavy rainstorm last year and was at risk of becoming homeless.
Governor Oyebanji, represented by his wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, officially handed over the house keys during a brief ceremony. The home was built and donated by the Abiyamo Esther Oyebanji Foundation.
Speaking at the event, Oyebanji emphasized his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable residents across the state.
“This gesture reflects our dedication to ensuring that no one is left behind in our development agenda,” he stated.
The widow expressed gratitude for the governor’s generosity, calling it a life-changing intervention that restored her hope and dignity.
