Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has vowed to uphold the legacy of his late wife, Pastor Patience Eno, in supporting the less privileged, elderly, and vulnerable members of society.
Speaking at the first anniversary of the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA) in Uyo, Eno commended his daughter, Lady Helen Eno Obareki, for taking on the role of Acting First Lady and continuing her mother’s humanitarian efforts.
He praised Lady Obareki’s leadership in sustaining GIFA’s vision, which focuses on enhancing family life and providing relief to those in need.
As part of this commitment, Governor Eno laid the foundation for the permanent secretariat of GIFA at Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, further institutionalizing the initiative’s impact.
He expressed joy that despite the loss of its founder, GIFA’s mission remains strong under Lady Obareki’s direction.
The governor assured that his administration would continue to support programs that uplift the underprivileged, ensuring his late wife’s legacy endures beyond his tenure.
