Peterside’s comments came after Lookman delivered a stunning performance in Atalanta’s 5-0 win over Empoli on Sunday. The Nigerian international scored twice and provided an assist, earning the ‘Man of the Match’ award.
His display came just days after a public fallout with Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini. Last week, Gasperini criticized Lookman for missing a penalty in their Champions League elimination against Club Brugge, calling him “the worst” penalty taker.

Peterside believes Lookman should take control of his future and find a club where he is truly valued. “He should leave immediately or as soon as possible before they force him out,” he said.
