Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta insists his team is still in the Premier League title race despite trailing leaders Liverpool by 11 points.
The Gunners sit second with 53 points, while Liverpool lead the table with 64. Their title hopes took a hit on Saturday after a disappointing 1-0 loss to West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium.
Liverpool capitalized on Arsenal’s setback by securing a 2-0 win over Manchester City at the Etihad the following day, widening the gap at the top.
Despite the setback, Arteta remains confident that his squad can still challenge for the title in the remaining fixtures.
Arsenal will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, hoping to close the gap on the leaders.
With several key matches ahead, Arteta’s men will need a strong run of form to keep their title ambitions alive.
