Following months of controversy over the tragic death of Nigerian singer IleriOluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, his former boss and promoter, Naira Marley, has broken his silence on the accusations against him.
A Lagos Magistrate Court on Tuesday cleared Naira Marley and two others of any involvement in Mohbad’s passing, putting an end to legal speculations surrounding them.
Reacting to the ruling, Naira Marley took to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, expressing the emotional toll the allegations had taken on him. He described feeling deeply betrayed by people he once considered close.
“I never thought silence could be so loud. I never thought someone I called my brother, someone I protected, would leave this world with my name in his shadow,” he wrote, reflecting on the pain he has endured.
The musician also reaffirmed his commitment to seeking justice for Mohbad, despite the accusations that had been leveled against him.
While the court’s verdict absolves him, public reactions remain mixed, with many fans still seeking answers about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely demise.
