Comrade Olushola Oladoja has emerged as the new National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), vowing to lead with a fresh vision that puts students’ welfare first.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, Oladoja outlined his immediate plan to embark on a nationwide tour of campuses. According to him, the tour will help identify critical issues affecting students and create a platform for open dialogue between NANS leadership and students across the country.
He promised that his leadership would be student-centered, pragmatic, and focused on building on the achievements of past administrations, while addressing long-standing problems facing Nigerian students.
Oladoja praised the NANS Independent Convention Planning Committee, led by Prince Koyoyo, for organizing what he described as a transparent and credible convention. He noted that their dedication and commitment ensured that students’ voices were respected in the election process.
“As we begin this journey, I want every Nigerian student to know that this is their administration. We will listen to you, stand with you, and work for you,” Oladoja stated.
The new NANS President assured students that under his leadership, the association will push for better funding of education, improved campus infrastructure, and policies that genuinely benefit the student community.
