Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has promised that his team will go on the offensive from the first whistle when they face Liverpool in today’s Champions League round of 16 clash in Paris.
Speaking to PSG’s official website, Enrique admitted that Liverpool is currently the best team in the world, but stressed that PSG will do everything possible to secure a victory.
“Liverpool and Lille are similar in some ways — we pressed Lille so hard they had to abandon their style, and that’s our aim again,” Enrique said.
He made it clear that PSG will not sit back or play cautiously, insisting the team’s mentality is to attack and control the game, not to defend and wait.
With Liverpool known for their high-intensity style under Jurgen Klopp, Enrique’s bold approach sets the stage for a high-energy, end-to-end contest.
Fans can expect fireworks at the Parc des Princes, as both sides go head-to-head in a battle of European heavyweights.
