By In a bold move to reshape healthcare and laboratory events in West Africa, Informa Markets has rebranded its long-running Medic West Africa and Medlab West Africa exhibitions into WHX Lagos and WHX Labs Lagos. The new identity aims to position the event as the region’s top platform for medical innovation, investment, and policy discussions.
Supported by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health and key industry players, WHX Lagos and WHX Labs Lagos will debut under the new names in June 2025 in Lagos. This change aligns with Informa Markets’ global shift towards the World Health Exhibitions (WHX) brand, reinforcing West Africa’s growing importance in the global healthcare sector.
Tom Coleman, Director of WHX Lagos and WHX Labs Lagos, said the rebranding marks a turning point after 11 years of success under the old names. “This new identity reflects our commitment to providing a platform where healthcare professionals and industry leaders can connect, innovate, and shape the future of healthcare,” Coleman said.
The rebranded event will bring healthcare and laboratory industries together under one roof, creating a powerful meeting point for professionals, manufacturers, distributors, policymakers, and investors. Attendees will have direct access to cutting-edge innovations, from medical equipment and diagnostics to digital health solutions and pharmaceuticals.
