Sean Kanu Joins Polish Club Górnik Polkowice

Sean Kanu, son of former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu, has signed with Polish third-tier club Górnik Polkowice, marking the start of his professional football career.

The 19-year-old Nigerian’s move was announced by KS Dozamet Connector Nowa Sól, his previous Polish club, though contract details were not disclosed.

Sean’s mother, Amara Kanu, attended the signing ceremony and shared her excitement on social media. “Congratulations, son, Sean Kanu. You have put in so much work and dedication to your craft, and I am so proud of you. More goals up in front,” she wrote.

A product of Watford Academy in England, Sean left the club without making a senior appearance. His talent and passion for the game have been evident from a young age.

Notably, Sean was featured in the popular “Kanu Nwankwo and Sons” video, a follow-up to his father’s iconic “Papilo” Peak Milk advertisement.

With this move, Sean Kanu aims to make a name for himself in European football while following in the footsteps of his legendary father.
