Olatunji Emmanuel has advised artists to look beyond raw talent and prioritize hard work and discipline to succeed in the entertainment industry.
Speaking in an interview with journalists in Lagos yesterday, Emmanuel, the CEO of Sucre House of Entertainment, emphasized that laziness and indiscipline are major deal-breakers when working with talents.
“The biggest deal-breaker in working with talent is laziness and lack of discipline—regardless of their potential. Laziness and indiscipline are a no for me,” he stated.
Highlighting his firm’s approach, Emmanuel said, “We’re not just about hype; we’re finishers. We take projects from ideation to execution and ensure results. But the key is working with unique and committed talent. I have a solid team behind me—we brainstorm, plan long-term strategies, and execute meticulously. But the talent must bring drive and work ethics to the table.”
Widely recognized as Sucre, Emmanuel has built one of the top talent agencies in the country, securing major endorsement deals across the continent. His agency has successfully brokered partnerships with leading brands like Bet9ja, featuring influencers such as Yhemolee, Pocolee, and Sheggz, among others.
