The House of Representatives has taken a step toward amending the 1999 Constitution to designate the Court of Appeal as the final authority in governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly election disputes.
The proposed amendment, sponsored by Rep. If passed, the change would align governorship election disputes with National and State Assembly cases, which already conclude at the Court of Appeal.
