Bashir Bayo Ojulari as its new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), following his selection by President Bola Tinubu.
Ojulari, an experienced mechanical engineer from Kwara State, previously held executive roles at Renaissance Africa Energy Company. He officially assumed office on Friday in Abuja, taking over from Mele Kyari in a brief handover ceremony.
Acknowledging Kyari’s contributions, Ojulari expressed his commitment to building on his predecessor’s achievements and advancing NNPC’s operations. “I will be counting on your support. I will need it. I will be coming around to seek your counsel,” he told Kyari.
Kyari, in response, congratulated Ojulari and assured him of continued support, emphasizing that he was “only a call away.”
