Air Peace Soars with Awards and Pilot Promotions

Nigeria’s top airline, Air Peace, is flying high after clinching three major honours at the 14th Nigerian Aviation Awards (NIGAV) — and celebrating the promotion of two of its pilots to Captain status.

At the awards ceremony held last Friday, Air Peace took home accolades for Best Cabin Crew, Best West Africa Sub-Regional Airline, and Airline CEO of the Year. The recognitions highlight the airline’s commitment to safety, customer service, and regional excellence.

“These awards are a validation of our vision and the hard work of every single team member. We will keep pushing the bar higher,” Air Peace wrote on its official social media page, thanking passengers and partners for their continued trust.

In addition to the awards, the airline marked a proud moment within its ranks: two Senior First Officers, Obinna Okeke and Adedamola Adeoye, were promoted to Captains on the Boeing 737 fleet. The promotion ceremony took place at the Lagos headquarters, with Air Peace executives and the pilots’ families in attendance.

“Their journey from flight school to the left seat of the cockpit showcases our unwavering dedication to grooming world-class aviation professionals,” the airline stated.

The achievements sparked excitement across social media. One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote:

“Air Peace no dey play at all! Congrats to Captains Obinna Okeke & Adedamola Adeoye. Naija to the world!”

With a strong fleet, expanding routes, and a team committed to excellence, Air Peace continues to shine as a symbol of Nigeria’s growing strength in aviation.
