Lucky Aiyedatiwa has officially taken the oath of office as the governor of Ondo State, marking the start of his first full four-year term.
The inauguration ceremony took place on Monday at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure, with a large crowd in attendance.
Aiyedatiwa previously stepped in as governor following the death of his predecessor, Rotimi Akeredolu, in December 2023.
His swearing-in came two months after securing victory in the governorship election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Before him, his deputy, Olayide Adelami, was also sworn in around 12:59 pm.
Following the ceremony, Aiyedatiwa rode around the stadium in an open van, waving to cheering supporters.
