The National Association of Aviation Progressives (NAAP), a leading aviation pressure group, has welcomed President Bola Tinubu’s nomination of Captain Chris Najomo as the substantive Director General (DG) of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
In a letter to the Senate on Tuesday, President Tinubu asked lawmakers to fast-track Najomo’s confirmation in line with the Civil Aviation Act of 2022. Najomo has been serving as Acting DG since December 2023, when Tinubu suspended the former DG, Capt. Musa Shuaibu Nuhu.
NAAP praised the move, calling it a step in the right direction for Nigeria’s aviation sector.
