Benue South Federal Constituency Declares Support for Tinubu, Alia

The Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo federal constituency, also known as the Enone federal constituency in Benue South, has pledged its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal and state governments under President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia.

At a weekend solidarity rally attended by former Senate President Ameh Ebute and other prominent APC leaders, the constituency passed a vote of confidence on both leaders.

Hon. Linda Ene Agada, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Town Beautification and rally organizer, expressed gratitude for the turnout, highlighting Governor Alia’s commitment to the constituency’s development. She cited ongoing projects such as the Igumale-Agila and Igumale-Okpoga roads, as well as a Primary Health Care Centre in Ai-Oduh, Ogbadibo.

Agada also praised the governor’s appointments, including the first Chairman of Benue State Internal Revenue Service from the Idoma-Igede extraction and the pioneer Director General of Public Procurement in Benue State. Additionally, Enone holds key political positions, including the Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly and Commissioners for Women Affairs and Water Resources & Climate Change.

Nicknamed the Lioness of Enone, Agada emphasized that the rally was a show of appreciation for Governor Alia’s efforts and a reaffirmation of the constituency’s support for his re-election in 2027.

Former Senate President Ameh Ebute, who received the solidarity declaration, stressed the need to support Governor Alia against forces opposing Benue’s development. “We are 100% with the government, I mean, the entire Zone C,” he stated, commending Agada for organizing the historic event.

The rally was attended by several dignitaries, including former House of Representatives member Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo, insurance expert Mr. Okoriko Aba, former Ogbadibo local government chairman Hon. Fab Agada, and other political figures from the constituency.
