By Maiduguri, Borno – The Borno State government has called on residents of Maiduguri and other affected local government areas to remain patient and vigilant amid a temporary power outage caused by ongoing maintenance work on power lines and infrastructure.
A statement from the Directorate of Information, State Ministry of Information and Internal Security, assured the public that the outage will be brief. The government emphasized the importance of safeguarding public electricity assets such as transformers, poles, and cables during the temporary power cut, to prevent vandalism.
Residents were also advised to switch off domestic appliances to avoid potential damage from power surges during the maintenance.
The Borno State government expressed its appreciation for the public’s understanding and cooperation while the necessary repairs are carried out.
