Carthage, Litto VC, and Al Ahly Dominate in 39th African Women’s Volleyball Championship

The 39th African Women Volleyball Inter-Club Championship is heating up as CF Carthage, Litto VC, and Al Ahly secure their spots in the quarterfinals with dominant performances in their Round of Sixteen matches.

CF Carthage, two-time tournament champions, reaffirmed their status with a commanding 3-0 victory over Sococim of Senegal, sweeping the match with set scores of 25-11, 25-17, and 25-20. The Tunisian team’s powerful serves and sharp blocks left their opponents struggling to keep up.

Litto VC from Cameroon displayed resilience in a thrilling 3-1 victory over Chief Naval of Staff (CNS) of Nigeria. The match saw dramatic shifts, with Litto securing the first two sets (25-22, 25-18) before CNS fought back in the third (25-18). However, Litto regained their focus in the fourth set, finishing strong with a 25-17 win.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly of Egypt, the record holders of the competition, made light work of Mayo Kani Evolution (MKE) from Cameroon, winning 3-0 with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, and 25-15. Their tactical defense and quick ball movement proved too much for the Cameroonian side.

With the tournament heating up, fans are eagerly awaiting the quarterfinals as these powerhouse teams continue their pursuit of the prestigious title in Nigeria’s capital.
