Corporate Stars League Kicks Off in Lagos on April 19

The eagerly anticipated Lagos edition of the Corporate Stars League (CSL) is set to commence on April 19, bringing together Nigeria’s top corporate brands in a unique blend of sport, strategy, and employee engagement.

Organized by 5Stars Football, a leading sports consultancy firm, the CSL goes beyond traditional football tournaments. It serves as a workplace initiative designed to enhance team spirit, encourage inter-company networking, and promote employee wellness through structured 5-a-side football competitions. The league will run until May 10.

Following the success of its inaugural edition in Abuja in October 2024—where the National Pension Commission clinched the title—the CSL is expanding its reach with a larger lineup in Lagos. Participating companies include Wema Bank, Wakanow, PWC, Filmhouse Cinemas, Enterprise Insurance, Page Financials, Loatsad Promomedia, FIRS Lagos, and LASAA.

“For many professionals, maintaining an active and engaged lifestyle outside the office can be a challenge,” said Olumide Aturu, Managing Director of 5Stars Football. “The Corporate Stars League was designed to bridge that gap by combining a passion for sport with corporate values such as teamwork, resilience, and productivity.”

Beyond the football pitch, the CSL serves as a corporate development platform, using friendly competition to boost morale, foster unity, and strengthen connections among organizations.
