Davido Slams Osun Police Over Violence

Davido, has publicly criticized Osun State’s Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Umar Abba, accusing him of failing to uphold the rule of law in the state.

His statement comes after violent clashes erupted in Osun State on Monday, leading to the tragic deaths of former Irewole local government chairman, Remi Abass, and two others, who were shot by unidentified gunmen at the Ikire local government secretariat.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle, had raised concerns on Sunday about the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), led by former governor Gboyega Oyetola, allegedly planning to incite violence by forcefully taking over local government secretariats.

The violence has further fueled political tensions in the state, with accusations of both sides contributing to the instability.

Davido’s comments add to growing frustration over the situation, highlighting the perceived lack of action from security agencies in preventing such incidents.

As investigations continue, the incident is drawing national attention to the ongoing political and security challenges in Osun State.
