The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has re-arraigned Mamman Nasir Ali, son of former PDP National Chairman Ahmadu Ali, alongside a Sierra Leonean, Christian Taylor, over an alleged N2.2 billion oil subsidy fraud.
They appeared before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Lagos State Special Offences Court, Ikeja, alongside their company, Nasaman Oil Services Limited. The EFCC amended the original 49-count charge to 57 counts, citing new findings.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to charges, which include conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretenses, and forgery. The prosecution alleged they fraudulently obtained funds from the Federal Government in 2011 using forged gasoline analysis documents.
Justice Dada adjourned the case to April 15 for the adoption of final written addresses.
