Aisha Abubakar, Acting Zonal Director of the EFCC’s Enugu Zonal Directorate, visited Major General Oluyemi Thomas Olatoye, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Enugu.
Abubakar emphasized the need for a stronger synergy with the Army, citing recent joint task force operations that led to over 100 arrests in Abuja. She also offered the EFCC’s forensic and financial analysis expertise to support military efforts in the region.
In response, Olatoye pledged full cooperation, assuring security support whenever needed. “All of us are working towards national security, and that is sacrosanct,” he stated.
Similarly, on April 8, 2025, CIS Nkechi Enobong Enete, Comptroller of Immigration Service, Enugu State, assured EFCC of the NIS’s unwavering support in fighting economic and financial crimes. “We cannot move our country forward without collaboration,” she said, promising full cooperation from her command.
