Emir Aminu Ado Bayero Honored for Peace

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has been recognized as Nigeria’s ‘Most Peaceful Emir’ by the Nigerian Citizens Peace Ambassadors. The award was presented at his Nasarawa Mini Palace in Kano by the group’s chairman, Professor Yahaya Imam.

During the event, Prof. Imam praised the Emir for his commitment to peace, particularly his decision to suspend the planned Sallah Durbar to avoid tension in the state. He noted that despite challenges surrounding the Emirate Tussle, Emir Bayero has prioritized stability.

“His Highness has been an advocate of peace, and since the beginning of the Emirate Tussle, he has been doing his best to maintain peace despite all efforts by some unscrupulous elements to disrupt it,” Imam stated.

Emir Bayero, in his response, expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring peace in Kano State. He emphasized that maintaining harmony is a value passed down from his forefathers.

“Everybody knows that we are peace-abiding people. We have no other place than Kano, and we will allow the law to take its course,” the Emir stated, urging Kano residents to remain calm and avoid actions that could cause unrest.

The recognition further solidifies Emir Bayero’s reputation as a leader committed to unity and stability, even amid political and social tensions in the state.
