Alhaji Umar Abubakar Suleiman, has commended Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni for supporting research aimed at tackling the rising cases of kidney failure in the region.
Speaking in his palace in Gashua, the Emir described chronic kidney disease as a growing tragedy in the town, causing numerous deaths in the community.
He emphasized the importance of ongoing research to uncover the root causes, calling it a crucial and timely intervention.
“The research will help us understand and address this crisis,” the Emir stated, urging full community cooperation.
He called on Gashua residents and other affected areas to support the Biomedical Science Research and Training Centre (BioRTC) in conducting their study.
The research initiative is expected to provide solutions to the health crisis and improve medical interventions for affected individuals.
