Evelyn Oyome triumphed in style on Sunday, securing her third consecutive victory at the IBB Ladies Golf Open 2025.
The 26th edition of the championship, held at the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja from February 13 to 16, attracted over 400 golfers from 50 Nigerian clubs and five other African countries.
Oyome, an accomplished amateur golfer from Ikoyi Club, outplayed 18-year-old Grace Agbo and Diana Osmond to win with a total score of 248 gross, following rounds of 82, 79, and 87. This victory marks her third consecutive win, having also claimed the title in 2023 and 2024.
“I’m thrilled to win again, especially in the 26th edition. It’s fantastic, and I celebrate this achievement with my country, Nigeria,” Oyome said after the victory.
Her outstanding performance was a testament to her skill and determination, as she overcame stiff competition to defend her title.
The IBB Ladies Golf Open continues to be a highlight in Nigeria’s sporting calendar, with Oyome’s victory further solidifying her reputation as one of the country’s top golfers.
