By Nyesom Wike, has extended his condolences to former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, over the passing of his younger brother, Bernard Tyozenda Ortom.
In a statement released on Tuesday by his senior special assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, Wike described the loss as “painful” and prayed for the repose of Bernard’s soul.
Expressing his sympathies, Wike urged Ortom and the entire Ortom Adorogo family from Guma Local Government Area to find strength and solace in God. He acknowledged the deep grief that comes with such a loss.
“The news of the death of Mr. Bernard Tyozenda Ortom came to me as a rude shock, and I understand the feeling of loss that my brother and friend, His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom, must be experiencing right now,” Wike stated.
Despite the pain, he encouraged the family to accept the inevitability of death and lean on their faith for comfort. He prayed for divine strength for them in this difficult time.
Wike concluded by expressing his heartfelt condolences, hoping that God’s infinite mercies would help the family bear the irreparable loss.
