Senator Suleiman Kawu Sumaila, representing Kano South, following his visit to the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, in Abuja.
Expressing his satisfaction, Senator Sumaila announced on his Facebook page that the road, which has long been a death trap due to frequent accidents, loss of lives, and persistent traffic congestion, will now receive urgent attention.
“The Federal Executive Council (FEC), under the leadership of Mr. President, has taken decisive action,” he stated. “The previous contract has been terminated and re-awarded to Triacter Construction Company for ₦124.4 billion, with a three-year completion timeline.”
The senator commended the Senate, his colleagues, the Minister of Works, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their swift response in addressing the road’s infrastructure and safety concerns.
