In a press release signed by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the minister urged Muslims to continue embracing self-discipline, generosity, and compassion—virtues cultivated during Ramadan. He stressed that love, forgiveness, and unity are essential for a peaceful and progressive society.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo encouraged Nigerians to use the holiday period for prayers, seeking peace, stability, and prosperity for the nation. He expressed hope that the celebration would foster stronger bonds across religious and ethnic lines.
He also called for responsible and safe celebrations, reminding citizens to extend kindness to the less privileged, as this aligns with the true spirit of Eid.
On behalf of the Federal Government, the minister wished all Muslims a joyous Eid Mubarak, praying that the season brings happiness, success, and fulfillment to everyone.
