Ahmadu Fintiri, has praised his Bayelsa State counterpart, Senator Douye Diri, for delivering honest and impactful service to the people of Bayelsa over the past five years.
Fintiri made the commendation on Wednesday while inaugurating the newly completed Commissioners Quarters and a dual carriage road in New Yenagoa City, as part of Governor Diri’s fifth anniversary celebrations.
The Adamawa governor highlighted Diri’s commitment to infrastructure development, describing it as a reflection of his genuine concern for the welfare of Bayelsa citizens.
“Anyone who provides infrastructure does so for the greatest number of people. Senator Diri has etched his name as a governor doing wonders in Bayelsa State,” Fintiri said.
He further lauded Diri for fostering strong ties within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and for his dedication to advancing the state’s development despite its challenging terrain.
Governor Diri, in his response, expressed gratitude to host communities for their cooperation and peaceful conduct, which enabled the successful delivery of the projects.
He also directed Lubrik Construction Company to extend the newly commissioned road to connect with Tombia Airport Road, with a completion target set for the end of the year.
Diri thanked Fintiri for his support and described him as a true friend of the Niger Delta, acknowledging his contributions to the region’s struggle for equitable resource allocation.
