The immediate past governor of Jigawa State and current Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, has commended Governor Malam Umar Namadi for his visionary leadership and outstanding performance in improving the social and economic well-being of Jigawa citizens within less than two years.
Badaru made the remarks during the launch of the Citizens Engagement Programme in Auyo Local Government Area. The initiative, introduced by the Jigawa State government, allows residents from all 27 local government areas to voice their needs and receive updates on government projects and programs aimed at enhancing their lives.
Reflecting on his confidence in Governor Namadi’s capabilities, Badaru recalled telling Jigawa residents during the 2023 campaign that Namadi would not only continue his legacy but also surpass his achievements. He expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far under Namadi’s administration.
The Citizens Engagement Programme underscores the government’s commitment to transparency and community involvement, ensuring that the people’s voices are heard and their needs addressed.
